On 13 May 2021, the EU SME Centre participated in the China-Europe-Yulin Economic Cooperation Forum, organised by Shaanxi Bureau of Commerce and Yulin Municipal Government, co-organised by our official partner, CEATEC who kindly invited the Centre to participate. The Centre Director, Renzo Isler had a video message to the Forum which was displayed during the Conference and the Operational Manager, Liam Jia, who went physically to the Conference, introduced the EU SME Centre as how we support SMEs to enter the Chinese market.
Xi’an is the starting point of the Silk Road, and as Yulin is rich in natural serve and energy, it is thus an important city and provides great opportunities and potential for European SMEs, as it is also an example of a fast developing second tier city.
During the Conference, Liam had several meetings with Slovak companies at the Slovak Pavilion at the Silk Road International Exhibition. He also paid a visit to the Xi’an Pilot Free Trade Zone as well as the high-tech industries Development Zone.
The mission was joined by our implementing partner, China Britain Business Council.
