About Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys

The Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys is the only national organisation associating all Polish patent attorneys. It was established by the Act on Patent Attorneys of January 9, 1993. As of this date, every Polish patent attorney and Polish trainee patent attorney, regardless of the form of practice, is a member of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys.

One of the main tasks of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys is to represent Polish patent attorneys and trainees and to protect their professional interests. The Chamber also undertakes activities aimed at professional development of Polish patent attorneys, as well as educates trainee patent attorneys. In addition, the Chamber undertakes a number of activities aimed at ensuring conditions for the proper practice of the profession of Polish patent attorneys and supervises the proper practice of the profession by patent attorneys and trainee patent attorneys. Finally, the Chamber cooperates with Polish public institutions in shaping and applying intellectual property law and conducts research in industrial property matters.

The Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys cooperates with many foreign institutions, spreading knowledge of intellectual property law and promoting Polish patent attorneys around the world. The Chamber participates in and co-organises a number of conferences, workshops and webinars with the participation of many world organisations. The Chamber is open to broadening its international contacts and welcomes all institutions interested in cooperation in the field of intellectual property.
