The EU SME Centre and the Finland-China Business Association have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), thus formally committing to working together and creating synergies. This new partnership agreement will enhance the outreach capacity and value-added activities provided to Finland-based SMEs looking to do business in China.
The EU SME Centre is devoted to sharing its knowledge on China-related matters to build the capacity of Finnish businesses interested in entering the Chinese market. Together, we have already collaborated to organise a seminar on China’s winter sports industry. We welcome this opportunity to further support the interests of SMEs and to contribute to our common goal of supporting their growth.
Business support organisations and trade promotion organisations from Member States of the European Union and Single Market Programme-participating countries with member companies interested in the Chinese market are welcome to contact our Partnership Coordinator to obtain further information about partnerships and collaborations. The EU SME Centre offers a wide range of free services to partners and affiliated SMEs to improve their readiness to the market in China. Find out more about becoming a partner of the Centre here.
About the Finland-China Business Association
The Finland-China Business Association (Suomi-Kiina kauppayhdistys), established in 1985, provides a platform for cooperation for Finnish companies engaged in trade and economic cooperation between Finland and China. The association provides information on the Chinese market, the development of legislation related to trade, and economic cooperation between Finland and China. The association’s events feature high-level experts who provide up-to-date information on events and trends in China. These events also serve as an excellent platform for establishing new contacts, exchanging experiences and practices, therefore increasing knowledge about China for Finnish companies.
The Finland-China Business Association cooperates with the EU-China Business Association, the EU SME Centre, the China Council for Promotion of International Trade, and maintains good relations with the Chinese Embassy in Helsinki and its Commercial Section. Find out more on the official website of the Finland-China Business Association.
About the EU SME Centre
Created in 2010, the EU SME Centre is an initiative funded by the European Union to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from EU Member States and countries participating in the Single Market Programme, getting them ready to do business in China. The Centre helps facilitate market access and provides a comprehensive range of first-line, hands-on, free services to inform, advise, train, and connect European SMEs.
The EU SME Centre is in Phase IV (July 2022 – June 2025) implemented by four consortium partners — the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Italy-China Council Foundation, Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação — and two associated partners, Trade Promotion Europe and EU-China Business Association.
