Product safety for consumer products in China does not have a good reputation overseas. High profile incidents such as the food scandal with tainted milk or the problems with poisonous paints used in toys have been noted globally. Such a background makes it easy to believe that regulations for product safety in China are underdeveloped and enforcement inconsistent. Nothing could be further from the truth!

China has implemented a well-developed legal framework for product safety, supported by a comprehensive system of industrial standards, and enforced throughout the country. For any organisation planning to export consumer goods to China it is of the utmost importance to become familiar with this system.

This webinar will explain the mechanisms for control and enforcement of product safety in China, focussing on the practical impact of these regulations and on how to successfully navigate the system. Join us online and get an insight into:

  • Market access to China;
  • Key regulations applicable in China, with a focus on consumer products;
  • Step-by-step approach towards market access and compliance for consumer products;
  • Available resources and support
