Join us for our next Policy Meeting, where Mr Robert CiemniakFounder & CEO of Real Estate Foresight, will provide an overview of the current landscape of the property sector in China. Ms Ernan CuiConsumer Analyst at Gavekal Dragonomics, will share her insights recent market trends in consumption in China and the state of China’s demographic trends. The meeting will take place on Tuesday 8 April from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the European Chamber offices in Beijing.

Robert Ciemniak
Founder & CEO of Real Estate Foresight, Robotic Online Intelligence

Robert Ciemniak is the Founder & CEO of Real Estate Foresight (2012), an independent research boutique specializing in China housing markets, as well as Robotic Online Intelligence (2017), a tech startup in the AI-enabled automation of research.

Real Estate Foresight (REF) provides investors, fund managers, developers, and lenders interested in China with the most granular, data-driven research on China housing markets, powered by in-house technology, the content from data partners and the alternative data collected from public sources.

Prior to his ventures, Robert’s experience included a 13-year career with Thomson Reuters in two major roles as Global Head of Real Estate Markets (London/Hong Kong) and earlier as Head of Corporate Foresight in Group Strategy in London. Robert holds a dual MBA degree from London Business School and Columbia Business School in New York, and MSc from Warsaw School of Economics. He is also an international master in chess and the author of a book about the Internet and competitive strategy (1999).

Ernan Cui
Consumer Analyst, Gavekal Dragonomics

Ernan Cui is a Consumer Analyst at Gavekal Dragonomics, where she covers China’s labor market, demographics, urbanization, and household savings and debts, as well as other consumer-related sectors such as retailing, autos, tourism, and healthcare.

She is often quoted by major media outlets including the Financial Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and The Economist. Before joining Gavekal in 2013, Ernan interned at Standard Chartered and Accenture, and was a researcher at the University of Chicago’s Beijing Center. Ernan graduated from Renmin University of China with an MA in economics and a double bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics.
