Ivy Gu is a Senior Manager at the Shanghai office of Dezan Shira & Associates, where she leads the Audit (Shanghai) and Corporate Accounting Services (Suzhou) teams.

She assists clients in the areas of corporate accounting, financial audit, annual audit (including China GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS standards), internal financial review, due diligence and internal control review.

Ivy graduated from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom with a master’s in finance and management. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and a member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA).

Dominik Nowak advises international projects and partners at Eticor concerning the digitization of compliance. In his capacity as Managing Director of Eticor in the People’s Republic of China and the designated point of contact for global partners, he navigates the evolving complexities associated with country-specific requirements and organizational compliance matters.

With a distinguished professional background, Dominik Nowak has held key roles such as Managing Director, Project Manager, Manager, Advisory Board member, and Consultant across diverse industries including industry services, consulting, electrical engineering, wind power, software, mechanical engineering, and trade. His extensive experience spans regions such as Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of business dynamics and cultural challenges.

Dominik Nowak has pursued academic excellence, earning a master’s degree in Germany and an MBA in New Zealand, with a specialized focus on sustainable business development. His academic achievements contribute to his multifaceted approach in addressing contemporary business and compliance challenges on a global scale.

Florian Hobelsberger is the CEO of the Asia Business Unit at Diehl Controls, one of the world’s leading electronic suppliers in the home appliance and HVAC/R industry, with entities in Nanjing and Qingdao.

He oversees the business unit’s strategic and operational management and ensures company compliance. In his former career, he gained extensive experience across various industries and roles, e.g., Strategy, Business Development, Finance, HR and IT.

Florian graduated in business administration, holds an MBA and concluded his doctoral research with a dissertation about subsidiary autonomy, internal compliance behavior and subsidiary performance impacts at European MNCs’ subsidiaries in China under institutional duality.

Filippo Pallaroni is the EU SME Centre Training Centre Coordinator. He organises and oversees the implementation of hybrid workshops and webinars for the Centre.

Filippo is an Italian young graduate interested in EU-China trade relations and their geopolitical implications. Starting with a focus on the Italian economic presence in China, he has expanded its range of interest to European SMEs and their role in the Chinese market.

Filippo holds a master’s degree in International Governance and Diplomacy from SciencesPo Paris and Peking University together with a BA in International Relations from the University of Bologna.
