While many European companies have started measuring and managing their Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions, most are still completely in the dark when it comes to Scope 3 – a company’s end-to-end supply chain emissions. New legislation is now requiring disclosure of these emissions also, which will compel companies to carry out thorough due diligence, both up- and downstream. How can European companies decarbonise their supply chains in China? Why should large companies support their SME suppliers in meeting sustainability standards? The EU SME Centre and the European Chamber are glad to invite industry experts to discuss the practical steps for European companies to transform Scope 3 carbon costs into business opportunities.
This free event is open to European Chamber members, EU SMEs and institutional stakeholders.
The Joint Working Group meeting will take place online in English, from 15:30 to 17:30 Beijing Time / from 9:30 to 11:30 Brussels Time.
