European Commission Vice-President Tajani has joined forces with Jean-Claude Marcourt, Vice-President and Minister of Economy of Wallonia to make European companies aware of the business and investment opportunities in the Wallonia region strategically located between Germany and France.
To support this key priority, the Wallonia region, together with its Export and Investment Agency (AWEX), is organizing a conference with to raise awareness amongst European companies about opportunities in and from Wallonia. In parallel, a business-to-business forum will be held to allow European enterprises to meet prospective partners in Wallonia.
High-potential and innovative sectors, as developed by the Walloon Business and Competitiveness Clusters, have been chosen as key areas for the business-to-business meetings:
· Aeronautics and Space
· Mechanical engineering industries
· Biotech / Pharmaceuticals / Life-Sciences
· Transport and logistics
· Cultural and Creative Industries (Wallonia has been recently labeled European Creative District)
In addition to the conference which will take place on Tuesday 18/2 (in the morning) and the B2B event (afternoon), there will be the possibility to participate in dedicated thematic visits in the region on Wednesday, February 19 (a.m.).
