European SMEs have been going through quite some difficulties and faced a lot of challenges over the last years. Building on the successful visits to foster business cooperation carried out in Greece and Portugal last year, Vice President of the European Commission Antonio Tajani is now keen to contribute assisting SMEs in Sicily to successfully overcome current difficulties.
Vice President Tajani of the European Commission has therefore joined forces with Mr Rosario Crocetta, President of the Region of Sicily to make European companies aware of existing business and investment opportunities in the area. To support this key priority, the regional government of Sicily is organizing a conference in Palermo with the objective of making European companies aware about local opportunities. At the same time a business-to-business forum will be set up to allow local enterprises to meet potential partners from Europe.
High potential sectors have been chosen as key (but not exhaustive) areas for the business-to-business meetings:
- Agro food
- Maritime Industry and Fishing
- Intelligent Energy
