This month’s SME Seminar will focus on Business Risk When doing business in or with China, the key challenge for most SME’s is to find a business model which on one side minimizes the risks (operational, financial and legal risks, including intellectual properties) and on the other side offers solutions for an optimal sustainable presence in China which maximizes the return on investment. During this presentation Bart will give practical insights in how to select the right strategy and avoid the typical pitfalls, illustrated by a few relevant case studies of recent projects in which this risk management is a key part of the strategy.

Kyle Freeman is a Senior Associate with the International Business Advisory team at Dezan Shira & Associates’ Beijing and Tianjin offices. He advises clients on market entry strategy, corporate structuring and establishment, and related tax and legal issues concerning investment in China. Prior to joining Dezan Shira & Associates, Kyle worked in government relations and China trade policy for various public and private organizations.
