Call for Expert: Article on Green Development

The EU SME Centre is looking for an expert in green development to write an article focused on the sector.  

Green Development Article Content

The article should cover the following key areas: 

  • Introduction: An overview of the importance of green and low-carbon development in China; 2025 tariff adjustments designed to enhance green development; the promotion of eco-friendly material imports; and the reduction of harmful domestic production. 
  • Business Opportunities for European SMEs: Identification of growth sectors (e.g., technology, renewable energy), and the rising demand for sustainable solutions. 
  • Challenges: Compliance with Environmental Regulations: Overview of key environmental regulations affecting European SMEs in China, and resources available to support SMEs in addressing these regulations. 
  • Incentives for Green Energy and Eco-Friendly Solutions: A summary of incentives, such as tax reductions and subsidies, and an outline of local government programs. 
  • Best Practices for Integrating Sustainability: Recommendations for monitoring regulatory developments, managing risks, and engaging local stakeholders in sustainability initiatives. 
  • Conclusion: A summary of opportunities for EU SMEs in the context of green development. 

The author may also suggest additional areas to complement the content of the article. 

Timeline

The final article is expected to be published by 28 February 2025. 

A first draft of the article must be submitted to the EU SME Centre by Friday 14 February 2025. The EU SME Centre will revert within one week with feedback and requests. The final article is expected to be published by the end of February 2025. 

Following the publication of the article, a launch webinar will be organised by the EU SME Centre during which the expert(s) will introduce the content of the article. No logistics/organisational efforts will be needed from the expert(s). 

Application Process

Interested applicants should email the EU SME Centre’s Business Advisor Weronika Gryglaszewska at weronika.gryglaszewska@eusmecentre.org.cn, including: 

  • A brief bio of the author showcasing relevant experience 
  • Examples of previous articles dedicated to the green development sector 
  • A quotation of workdays and fees required for the article 

Each application will be evaluated based on the three bullet points above and the selection will be made on the basis of best quality-price ratio. After the evaluation, the EU SME Centre will revert to you regarding your proposal.
