Beijing, November 2nd - The EU SME Centre’s Advocacy team organised an SME Policy Meeting in Beijing on November 2nd which focused on the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (NCCPC) and its implications for businesses.

Mr Chris Cheung, Director of the EU SME Centre opened the session followed by two presentations from Mr Andrew Polk, Co-Founder and Head of Economic Research at Trivium / China and Mr John Russell, Managing Director at North Head. Both of them gave practical insights of the party congress outcomes for Xi Jinping and the signals of economic policy. Both speakers touched upon the role of the Party/State in the economy, economic agenda and inbound and outbound investment climates.
