Inter-chamber SME Working Group Meeting on Recent Measures to Improve Business Environment in China

On Thursday, 18th October, the Inter-Chamber SME Working Group, the SME Forum and the GA Forum had a meeting on the recent measures to improve the business environment in China. Mr. Tony Shao from Horizon Group provided a background on various factors that led to the rolling out of a variety of measures in different provinces and cities aimed at achieving a better business environment. More concretely, he discussed measures rolled out in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and Sichuan.
 
During the second part of the meeting, Mr. Hou Mingdi, Director of Foreign Investment Management Division at the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce presented the “Comprehensive Pilot Program for Further Opening up the Service Sector in Beijing”. After both presentations, attendees engaged in a discussion with the speakers on a variety of issues related to these measures.
