30 July 2018, Beijing – The EU SME Centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with World Intelligent Incubation Network (WIIN) to strengthen cooperation in connecting EU China incubation networks and supporting SME and start-up innovation.

The Centre and WIIN will be cooperating in a variety of areas such as joint research, information and knowledge sharing and training activities. Both sides will leverage their resources to provide better services for European and Chinese start-ups and entrepreneurs in the innovation sector.

During the meeting, Mr Zhenjun Yan, Founder/CEO of WIIN introduced the organisation’s key services provided for incubators and its plan to consolidate and share further information about China’s incubator network through upgraded website platform. Mr Chris Cheung, the Director of the Centre, pointed out that that information would be valuable for European SMEs and start-ups when selecting business locations and partners in China.

According to WIIN, there are over 16,000 new start-ups created each day in China during the last four years, and nearly 10,000 incubation organisations all around China, incubating more than 6 million technology start-ups and SMEs.
